Payments for your HOA

One payment. Every connected balance updated.

Let residents pay dues, fines, and community fees by card or US bank account. Keep online payments, recorded checks, receipts, and autopay connected to the same household account.

Money received should not mean another evening updating the books.

totalHOA applies a completed payment to open charges and posts it to the account ledger. The resident’s statement and the board’s balance report then read from that same record.

What you can do

The tools behind the everyday work.

Card and bank payments

Residents choose an account and payment method, review any itemized fees, and confirm. Bank payments remain processing until the processor confirms settlement.

Autopay with a resident-set limit

Residents can authorize balance payments or scheduled prepayments, set a maximum debit, and pause or cancel their enrollment.

Checks belong in the same record

Record a check, cash, wire, or offline bank payment against the property. Keep its date, reference, and notes alongside online payments.

Payment plans

Divide an account balance or charge into monthly installments. Incoming payments settle installments and close the plan when it is paid.

Receipts residents can find

A confirmation number and itemized receipt help residents identify a payment. The same payment can be found later from the billing view.

Your association’s processor account

Connect the association’s own Stripe account. The board chooses whether the association covers processing costs or passes them to the payer.

How it works

From payment confirmation to an updated account.

  1. Review the balance

The resident chooses the household account and amount.

  2. Confirm the payment

Show the payment method, applicable fees, and total before confirmation.

  3. Apply the settled amount

Post the payment to the ledger and apply it to open charges.

  4. Keep the receipt

Record the payment and make its receipt available to the resident.

Connected by the record

Dues, a clubhouse fee, and a fine can share one payment.

Different obligations become charges on the same account. Paying does not require separate records for each module or a volunteer to update every balance.

  • Apply payments to the oldest due charges by default.
  • Track partial payments and remaining amounts.
  • Keep escalated collection statuses subject to administrator review.
